1st International Vintage Glider Meeting "Vittorio Bonomi"
It has just ended the 1st International Vintage Gliders Meeting in memory
of Vittorio Bonomi, at the airport Giancarlo Maestri at Alzate Brianza,
organized by the Aeroclub Volovelistico Lariano (AVL) from 16th to 24th
May 2014,. with great success and satisfaction of the organizers and participants.
Ten vintage gliders, wood and fabric or tubes and fabric, coming from
Germany, Switzerland and of course Italy; fifteen the pilots present to
the event and thirty vintage gliders enthusiasts.
A large crowd poured in on Sunday 18th, the day open to the public. Many
model builders busy with their cameras to capture even the smallest details
of those wonderful vintage sailplanes.
Great the hospitality of AVL and the efficiency of the organization team
in the field. Much appreciated by the foreign participants the landscape
around Alzate Brianza and the nice evenings in pleasant company, with
local gastronomic specialties, abundantly watered by Italian wines.
