the Italian gliding history Autore: Steven Date: 15/8/2010 hour20:13 Hello Vincenzo, First of all,great webpage!I have your book about the history of italian gliding,and I have been to the spot in Asiago.I'm sorry to see no information about the Caproni Calif gliders at your page.In my oppinion these are true classic machines,these days 40 year old design.I have vissith Mr Carlo Ferrarin at varese somme years ago,and I believe he had a unique vission on sailplane design.The Calif A21-s was,and still is a unbelieveble machiene.Even classic and still today high appriciated.I know becouse I fly nr 8 of the 54 ever build.Also build with Jet engine.Of course,flying a Grunau Baby ore other classic is a different thing!But personaly I realy think the Calif was a true Italian masterpiece and part of the small Italian gliding history.To bad the Ferrarin design is to mutch "forgotten".But annyhow,you have a fantastic webpage and it brings a part of Italian glider history tougether that's hard to find for people outside Italy.Thanks for that!! Sono appassionato di alianti sin da piccolo ma per varie ragioni ho potuto fare materialmente molto poco. Oggi mi consolo con gli alianti RC da pendio. Il Suo lavoro è prezioso, la nostra storia volovelistica è rimasta trascurata a lungo e va recuperata. Se avesse bisogno di una mano mi interpelli tranquillamente (sono a Trento). Congratulazioni. |
